MY BODY IS AUGMENTED, Performance by Carla Wyrsch

What do I see when I look through my camera?

My eyes are augmented, the levels are falling out into place the pixels touch gently, there is tree there is my hand there is a tissue, what spaces evolve when I move?

There is a tree there is my hand there is a tissue. My body is augmented A branch reaches like my arm like a lens. It was cold by then there was a tree still standing by then, there is a tree, there is my hand, there is a tissue, there is an image on my display It’s almost April, my memory is augmented

Experiment with the superimposition of virtual image and real physical mirror image. Where does virtuality begin?

Is it the processing of data and the conversion into binary code or into a point cloud?

Or does virtualisation start in the mirror itself when light waves are thrown back to the eye and an image is created of us and what surrounds us.

What happens when the image of the camera overlays the image of the mirror?

Felyx virtual window, Felix Willutzki

With a virtual window I want to detach the experience of AR from body-worn devices like glasses or tablets and smartphones.

To do this, I use only a screen or projection. The content on the screen changes with the position of the viewer, giving the impression that one is looking through a window into a room with sculptures. The screen shows the perspective of the viewer in front of the screen.

To create this perspective the position of the viewer has to be filmed with a video camera. With a face recognition the position of the eyes is determined and the screen display is calculated according to the eyes position.

Are there intermediate or empty spaces in a virtual world?

Intermediate spaces and empty spaces are equally important as real space.

Are there also virtual intermediate or empty spaces?

Is a cloud a virtual space?

Do intermediate spaces exist in a cloud?

Normally, VTW Vermessungstechnik West GmbH uses this technology to document industrial plants and buildings without current construction maps. Here we manage to capture art and make it available as a scale model for other perspectives.

The absence of real space leads to the research of virtual space

The absence of space in almost all conservation and documentary media, such as photography and film, on paper, or on monitor, is the starting point for this project. We set out in search of 3-dimensional possibilities in virtual space. This leads us to explore virtual space and its perception

augmented spaces – real worlds virtually augmented

How real is reality? One world and many realities!

tangible – haptic – sensual – representational – corporeal

intangible – visual – mental – indifferent – virtual

I walk through the virtual space, I do not see it, I am seen in it.

What is a virtual space?

Where does it exist?

Can we see, hear or feel it?

Can we think or imagine it?

In which ways can we perceive virtual spaces?

When, where and how is a virtual space visible?

augmented spaces – real artworks virtually extended – a dialog between the real and the virtual world.
